The Hotel Arcadian is one of the crown jewels of Swing Times; it has an exquisite setting and it is the most upscale venue in the city. In Captain Creighton’s own words «The Arcadian is a grand hotel, aging, but not past its prime. The building exudes the elegance of an earlier time. She is the grand dame of Swing Times».
The Arcadian was inspired by the building with the same name from the television series "How I Met Your Mother." Like in the series, The Arcadian is an architectural landmark in the city. While the building is not Captain Paul Creighton’s own design, the modifications he has made to it, as well and its presence, name, and lion's head on the façade are an homage to the series.
The Arcadian hosts our most elegant dances in the ballroom: the weekly Formal Dances each Sunday at 6pm as well as the Swingtastic Rag, every Tuesday at 8:30pm. The tea room located on the mezzanine is the location of small meetings and has served as the rendezvous point for several of our air tours.
